The three submissions are monotype collages which were constructed by inking /drawing /marking and patterning an acrylic plate which is then rolled through the press transferring the image onto  the background paper. The process is then repeated with various papers of different weights and levels of transparency. Then I create a composition by collaging the different papers into the final one of a kind piece.. I am often inspired by landscapes, cityscapes, still life forms and non representational images. I use colors, shapes, textures, patterns and the layering of multiple hand inked papers to create  one of a kind impressionistic, playful compositions. I love the challenge of creating a coherent composition by arranging the the variant pieces of the collage together .
